There's something to be said for not shaving regularly. It's nice (especially if you're lazy) and it's easy. But the longer you let it grow, the more you realize that it's more hassle having a monstrosity such as this than it is to just shave (or trim) every week or six. Not shaving for an entire year, I've no idea how competitive beard growers do it. You can't do a god damn thing without it getting in the way. Every time you eat you have leftovers for later hanging around, every time you zip a jacket or hoodie you're dangerously close to yanking some out, every time you brush your teeth your beard gets a minty fresh dose of fluoride infused goodness. The list goes on and I'll spare you from some of the details, but it's ludicrous.

It was fun while it lasted, but I'm ready for it to be gone and it's also gonna be cool not to have to take a photo daily (which I fucked up on a handful of days anyways). At some point (hopefully soon) I'll see what I can do about getting a slideshow posted.

I'm looking forward to eating and drinking cleanly in 2010!
